Girls and their toys!

While the boys sat back and played with the Trebuchet...I sat back and played with the BEAUTIFUL antique singer sewing machine that Dale just had sitting around collecting dust!!

(Note the safe distance I was keeping from that thing!)

It took a bit of cleaning and A LOT of oil...but she is sewing like a dream! Better than my machine which is maybe 20 years old. I am so excited to be using this machine. How cool is it going to be to be able to say I made garb on this machine?!?!

So is it true what they say?

They say if you love something let it go...if it comes back it's yours to keep. So for the pictures to follow this post your are going to notice a few things you have not seen in a while. Me happy and smiling (even showing braces), and the source of the smile...my love Dale. It took some time but he is back in my life and we are working on making it work. Dale is making a HUGE sacrifice for me and I am trying to do my part to make sure it works as well. I am so proud of him and I am so happy to have him back in my life. We have been given a second chance...hopefully this time we will both have the patience and understanding to do what it takes to make the best of this chance. I love him with all my heart and look forward the many memories we have yet to spin. Hopefully that smile of mine is here to stay for a while!

Annapolis Irish Festival 6/21/09

Any excuse to wear garb or kilt...we are there. So we decided to check out the Annapolis Irish Festival. A bit disappointing but as always we still managed to have fun!

A Pirate Looks at 40!

My good friend Mia turned 40 this year. So with the help of many friends, hubby Shaun and myself we threw her a Pirate Looks at 40 Party. Party goers came doned in Pirate Garb, Jimmy Buffet attire and the real renegade pirates were in Kilt!
