Christmas and Ireland

Well after a very long wait I am finally here. Some flight issues due to the fog. But I am still here! Other issues also which I'd rather not discuss, but I'm here with my love back in Ireland! Thank god! Had a nice quiet night in the first night with a fantastic meal. Then the next day we went into town to have a look around. Found a fabric store it wasn't easy but we found one! I don't know how I am going to survive without a Joanne fabrics! They don't have hobbies over here. The fabric shop did have a decent selection of yarn for my new passion of knitting. But still...oh well thank god for eBay! The city was alive with street performers shops were busy busy and we found a used book store and a cheese shop. Oh it smelled so moldy but it was heaven!

We made our way over to his mum's in Mullingar for Christmas Eve. Once there we had a little feed and went into town for a pint, wellllll a few pints :-)! Then we made our way to the church for mass. Mom would have killed me! Jeans and a nice top in church. It was such a beautiful service though. I relished in the moment. Afterwards it was home to get some sleep and wait for Santy. Yes Santy not Santa. Oh and it's Happy Christmas were as we say Merry Christmas.
Funny the little differences.

Christmas morning was great! Quiet, we stayed at home and opened presents and watched a few movies. Oh and ate and ate and ate! Constantly, you want coffee you want tea, you want cake. I ate more those two days then I normally do in a week! Crazy! Santy brought me a collection of Audry videos, a Alfa Romeo, and lots of Chocolate! The day after Christmas it was time to head back home Paul had to work on Wednesday. So we headed back to our little place and opened the presents mom had sent in the mail. Thanks mom!

And so Paul has been going to work and I have been cleaning and doing a bit of knitting here and there. Last night we went out for Pints with Denis and Patty from the James Joyce. Weird seeing them here in Ireland. It was good to see them though and I think Paul enjoyed seeing him and catching up on all the James Joyce gossip. Well that's about all the news for now will keep you posted. Lots of Love from Ireland hope all had a Happy Christmas and a great New Years!

Everyone together for Christams! Feel the love?

John, Michael, Mum, Mark, Paul

Mom got Baileys...she looks happy enough!

Mom you can let go of the Baileys!

All these presents are making me sleepy...

Mark doesn't look impresssed!

My new crib in Ireland!

Well here it is folks my new home away from home! I think he did a good job. Allow me to take you on a little tour. (Notice how clean it is) This is going to be a task to keep clean. Especially the bathroom, which is nothing but tiles! And with it always being damp and cold it is almost always wet. A task I am willing to take on! I like it though. Very happy here!

Back to Ireland back to reality!

Well, I was yelled at for not posting a update as to what the heck is going on! Well I'm going to keep it short for now and give further detail later. Pauls journey finally came to a end back home in Ireland. So on a jet plane I went back to my love who I hadn't seen since France. We had a wonderful week in Ireland. I was once again back in my loves arms where I belonged. Dreading the big talk we finally had it. The end result was who knows where we are going to go at this point we just know that each other needs to be there. And since we all know how fond my love is of Baltimore...that means I'm going to Ireland! Further details to follow.

For the people at Maryland Ren Fest..... Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Not only do I have my real family I will be leaving behind but I have a wonderful family from fair that I will also miss. You have all been so supportive of me and my dance. I love you guys and hope our paths will cross again, maybe back at fair, maybe in Ireland. Keep in touch! And I promise I will do my best to keep the blog up to date. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

The new uniform! (and updates)

Well Love here you have it. Your uniform for me for the hostel. To fill everyone else in...Paul told me when we open the hostel that I would have to wear the uniform. Jokingly I said what's that a string thong bikini? He said nope, overalls and a yellow hat! What!?! That's it that's the uniform if your not going to wear it your not coming over to work. Well I didn't have much luck finding a yellow hat so the bandana will have to do!

As for a update...not a whole lot has changed. The sad end for Pauls fabulous holiday is drawing near though. He has booked his flight home to Ireland for September 1st. Not that I want to see his fun end but I was so glad to hear that. Up until then nothing was concrete. Now I have at least some idea of when we may see each other again. Greece was ok. As of right now thought the major prospects for the hostel or business are France and Spain. I have tried to help as much as I can from here. I have been doing some research into properties in the two areas and sending him links. It's the least I can do at this point.

It's not been as difficult as I thought it was going to be since I left France. I thought I would be a wreck when I got back not knowing when I would see him again. I guess it's because I left France knowing that everything was going to be ok. We have hit a few bumps in the road since I got back, but we are going to make it through. We have made it this far what is another month or two. I still have my moments though. I just miss him, that's a good thing. If I didn't have moments that would mean I didn't care. The plan at the moment is for him to spend some time doing research into all the options once he gets home. And then, we meet up somewhere to discuss all the options. So as you can see not much has changed. We are still taking it one day at a time. I left my heart in France in more than one way. I hope to go back and collect it!

Take care everyone! Be back with a update soon!

Our Holiday in France...

First of all I apologize for this taking so long. Everone has been bugging me for pictures and stuff but I wanted to do this right. I gave Paul a journal for Christmas that I wanted him to write all his wonderful adventures in. While in France Paul read to me his exciting adventures. At one point he asked me where my journal was, well love here it is in all it's glory. If you want a play by play of the whole trip grab a beer or a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and sit back and read my tale of my love and I and our adventures in France. Or you can just scroll through and look at the pretty pictures. I recommend reading the two most exciting days which was the first night in Lyon and the first night in Carcassonne. They are probably the most amusing days of the whole trip.

The readers digest version: I loved France. Everyone was so nice and the cities were beautiful. I was so glad to finally get the chance to see the places Paul had told me so much about. To see the place where he is happy and would possibly like to live. It was wonderful. So to answer the question that everyone has been asking. What next? The truth is we still don't know. When I left France he left for Italy and is now on his way to Greece. When he is done his holiday then we will talk about what's next. For now things are just as they were when he left. He is on a long vacation and when he's done his travels we will determine what's next. All the fears I had going over there are gone.

To Paul: Thank you love...for everything! You have taken me to places I never would have imagined I would go. I'm so glad to have been a part of your big adventure. I enjoyed your journal entries very much. I hope you enjoy mine as well. I can't wait for you to read me the rest of your journey. All my love!

Monday May 22nd, I'm so nervous it's finally here...

After a 8 hour flight with a screaming baby and a change over in Germany. My plane has landed. OPEN THE DAMN DOORS. I couldn't get off that plane fast enough. My heart is pounding! I'm nervous, excited, sick at this point and scared. My original plan was to hide like he does to me and watch for him to look for me. That wasn't happening, first of all he is right inside the gate there was no where for me to go. And truth is...I couldn't wait another second. He looked so good. I am so lucky to have him in my life. I gave him a hug that lasted forever. Already I was crying. I didn't want to let go already. I get a big welcome to France. Did I already say how good he looks. I mean he has always been incredibly hansom to me but something is different. I see happiness in his eyes.

We get on a bus to head into town. I told him about my horrible flight and the screaming baby he had cursed on me. It felt so good to be back in his arms. We head to the little hotel he had got. He was so worried about whether I would like it because it wasn't much. I could have cared less at that point I had my Paul that was all I needed. He went back to the hostel to get his bag while I freshened up. Once back we did some catching up...52 days worth of catching up ;-) First things I notice in France I love the buildings. The windows all have shutters and it's very comfortable. I'm liking it already. We headed into town to get a bite to eat. There are sidewalk cafes everywhere its hard to pick just one. We finally decide on one and I sit down for my first meal in France.

I had a pesto pasta and Paul got a carbonara that came out with a raw egg in a dish?...What am I supposed to do with the egg? Oh well here goes he dumps the egg in and mixes it in. Oh let me tell you! HEAVEN! I was jealous I wanted his meal. He was nice enough to share as I shared mine as well. After that we have a wander about town. We went down to the water and made our way into the old part of town The whole time his hand in mine. I miss that...I feel so safe and secure with him. We head into a little Irish pub for a pint. I have been dyeing for a pint of Guinness. Paul pass' on the Guinness and gets a 1664 Blanc. He had tried it a few days ago and taken a liking to it. I jealous again I like his beer! We had a pint or two there catchin up a little more and head out. I wanted to go to the beach. It's getting late but we grab the beachmats find a liquor store and get a cheap bottle of two Euro wine and head to the beach. We sat there looking out at the water and talked about everything. I am so excited to be here.

Coming over I was worried things might have changed. I kept telling myself I would know within minutes if something had changed. I can tell you I already know. Nothing has changed we still have the same feelings for each other that we had when he left. I can't explain it...it's just a feeling in your heart. I knew this trip was going to be wonderful. The hardest part is going to be to not think about leaving till that time comes. Just enjoy the time I have with him. We will cross that bridge when the time comes. Day 1 one wonderful. I'm loving it already!
